Saas Fee’s 100km of marked pistes are superbly divided between beginner, intermediate and advanced. High quality snow is guaranteed at an unrivalled altitude up to 3600 metres and the awe-inspiring glaciers ensure skiing and snowboarding is possible all year round. The main route up the mountain is via the Alpin Express, the highest underground funicular system in the world.
Beginners
Saas Fee has excellent nursery areas for beginners located on
the edge of the village. The Stafelwald and Kalbermatten areas
are ideal for beginners and children. The pistes are not too steep
but are varied and interesting.
Intermediates
The challenging Langfluh area at 2870m is good intermediate
terrain. This wide glacier piste is particularly good for making long
turns. The Felskinn at 3000m is the most popular section of Saas
Fee’s trails and offers excellent powder skiing.
Advanced
The highest skiing in Saas Fee is on the Allalin at 3500m where
you can experience incredible panoramic views. Or test your
nerves on the Spielboden area with its heavily mogulled runs.
Snowboarding
Saas Fee is among the great snowboard centres of Switzerland
and boasts a year-round snowboarding park on its glacier
complete with halfpipes, quarterpipes, rails, tables, gaps and a
high jump for professionals.
Summer Skiing & Snowboarding
At Saas Fee, the spectacular glaciers mean you can enjoy the
unusual experience of skiing in summer. Snowboarders and
freestyle skiers can have fun on the rails, in the half-pipe, and on
the snowcross and kickers at the Snowpark. Both national and
international ski teams train in the summer ski area at Saas Fee.
Ski & Snowbaord School
Excellent ski tuition is offered at Saas Fee's ski school. The children's programme features a variety of supervised activities.
